As the HR Director you will play a pivotal role in nurturing our workforce and driving the growth and success of our company. We are a dynamic organization with approximately 150 employees in Buffalo and 100 in Phoenix (growing to 500 employees when fully staffed), and your primary responsibility will be to ensure that our human resources and talent acquisition strategies align with our business objectives and promote a positive and productive work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- HR Strategy and Planning:
- Collaborate with senior management to develop and implement HR strategies that support the overall business goals.
- Design and execute HR policies, procedures, and programs that enhance employee engagement, retention, and productivity.
- Stay updated on industry best practices and employment regulations to ensure compliance and proactive HR planning.
- Talent Acquisition and Recruitment:
- Oversee the recruitment and selection process to attract top talent, utilizing various channels and techniques.
- Develop and maintain relationships with external recruitment agencies and job platforms.
- Conduct interviews and assessments to identify the best candidates for various positions within the company.
- Employee Relations and Engagement:
- Foster a positive work environment by addressing employee concerns, grievances, and conflicts in a timely and fair manner.
- Organize and execute employee engagement initiatives, team-building activities, and recognition programs.
- Promote open communication channels and feedback mechanisms to enhance employee satisfaction and productivity.
- Performance Management:
- Implement performance management processes, including goal setting, performance reviews, and career development plans.
- Work closely with department heads to address performance issues and implement improvement plans.
- Support employee growth and development by identifying training and skill enhancement opportunities.
- Compensation and Benefits:
- Administer employee compensation and benefits programs, ensuring competitiveness and compliance with relevant laws.
- Participate in salary bench-marking exercises to maintain competitive compensation structures.
- Stay informed about changes in labor laws and regulations related to employee benefits.
- HR Administration:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date HR records, employee files, and documentation.
- Prepare and analyze HR reports and metrics to guide decision-making and assess HR initiatives' effectiveness.
- Ensure compliance with legal requirements and internal policies related to HR functions.
- Organizational Development and Change Management:
- Support organizational development initiatives and change management efforts.
- Work closely with leadership to identify training needs and promote a culture of continuous learning.
Salary range $ 125-150k
Required Skills / Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
- 3 plus years as an HR Manager or HR Business Partner in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
- In-depth knowledge of HR best practices, employment laws, and regulations.
- Experience in talent acquisition, employee engagement, performance management, and compensation administration.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work effectively at all levels of the organization.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- HR certifications (e.g., SHRM-CP or PHR) preferred.
