Overview
Working one-on-one with preschool children with autism.

Because of the extensive training, we require that all potential employees be able to make a 2-semester commitment. We currently need more instructors to work this summer and fall! We are interviewing USU students now for training positions this spring and summer, so please reply ASAP if you are interested! (Future USU students also welcome to apply.)

Responsibilities
ASSERT Preschool Instructors are expected to:
  • Work scheduled shifts with assigned students each week.
  • Be available to cover back-up shifts as needed.
  • Attend weekly team meetings with case manager.
  • Be professional in interactions with parents and other staff.


Qualifications
  • Must be willing to complete ASSERT training and pass required evaluations
  • Staff must be available for at least 6 shifts (at least 6 in the AM or 6 in the PM sessions) and make a 2-semester commitment for Fall 2024 ~ Spring 2025

Typical Shift Times:
  1. 7:45am - 10:00am
  2. 10:00am -12:15pm
  3. 12:30pm - 2:45pm
  4. 2:45pm - 5:00pm

Employees work indoors and are protected from weather and/or contaminants, but not, necessarily, occasional temperature changes. The employee is regularly required to sit and often uses repetitive hand motions. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms and may lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
