Amegy Bank is looking for an experienced
Marketing Services Representative
(Special Events Coordinator) to join our marketing team in Houston. This individual will support Amegy's business/product lines with day-to-day marketing support and will be responsible for campaign strategy to include ideation, execution, and outcomes.
The
Special Events Coordinator works closely with marketing team members, bank business line managers, bankers, support staff and senior executive leadership in planning and executing client and prospect events and managing sponsorships.
- Manages the end to end design and delivery of events consistent with corporate positioning and marketing strategy.
- Coordinates events that can include external talent and internal executive speaking engagements, food and wine receptions/dinners, golf outings, sporting events, museum and performing arts experiences, leadership off-sites, multi-day client events and conferences, etc.
- Responsible for planning and execution of all aspects of an event including day of event activities, assisting in determining invitees, attendance tracking and reporting, working with support partners on production of invitations, venue selection, room decor and set-up, ordering gifts and promotional items, determination and securing of catering and rental needs, menu selection, insurance needs, securing AV, management of any other internal or external vendor relations, other on-site logistics, budgeting and expense tracking and invoice reconciliation.
- Responsible for reporting/ROI on all events, sponsorships and activities.
- Other responsibilities include event operational support such as updating timeline/task lists and budgets, adherence to all compliance related requirements, registering events in various systems and updating post-event attendee lists for accuracy and follow up to provide results on events and any additional event related projects as deemed necessary.
- Manages company store, including all promotional items and exhibit properties.
- Develops customized promotions for special events and recognition of customers and prospects.
- Supports team with sponsorships and promotions.
- Participates in additional marketing team activities and projects as needed.
Qualifications:
A Bachelor's Degree is required, with 3+ years of experience in a marketing-related position, particularly in event planning. Experience working across all company levels, from senior executives to support staff, is essential. Demonstrated experience in event planning and sponsorship management within a large corporate environment is also required. An equivalent combination of education and experience may meet job qualifications.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
- Must be detail oriented, resourceful, creative and flexible, possessing a can-do attitude.
- Excellent project management skills: Strong communication, organizational, time management skills and attention to detail.
- Must be a team-player, enthusiastic, positive, polished, poised and professional in a highly professional business setting; have strong executive presence.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative.
- Ability to work and maneuver through a process driven company.
- Ability to prioritize and multi-task; work under tight deadlines.
- Ability to work extended hours and travel when required.

- Location/Hours Based Full Time in Houston, some travel required.
- Expected hours 8:00am - 5:00pm with exceptions due to events calendar.
