Overview
The Contract Administration Bureau within the Agency of Transportation (AOT) is a fast-paced setting dedicated to innovation and continuous improvement in serving our internal and external customers. The incumbent will serve as a Contracts Specialist in the Construction Contracting Unit. The Specialist will primarily focus on processing ancillary agreements including utility, finance and maintenance, railroad flagging, temporary bridge, and interstate agreements. Additionally, the position may serve as a back-up for various duties within the Contract Administration Bureau. The Construction Contracting Unit is responsible for prequalifying contractors to bid on construction projects and accurately and efficiently procuring and executing construction contracts and agreements for the Agency. Construction contracting types range from traditional Design, Bid, Build contracts to various alternative contract methods including: Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (ID/IQ); Job Order Contracts (JOC); Construction Manager/General Contractor (CMGC); Progressive Design Build (PDB); Design Build (DB); Contractor Input During Design (CIDD), and Design, Build, Operate, and Maintain (DBOM or DBOOM). The ideal candidate should be able to learn quickly and multi-task, have a strong attention to detail, and work well both independently and within a team setting. This position requires the ability to ensure compliance with state and federal regulatory requirements. This position has great growth potential and may be eligible for telework. Who May Apply

Duties are performed in an office setting. Interaction with contractors is present. Minimum Qualifications
Associates degree or certificate program in contract administration, public administration, accounting, business management, legal, or related field AND one (1) year of a combination of experience in the review and/or administration of government contracts, grants, agreements, maintenance or construction processes, public administration, law, or a related field. OR High School diploma or equivalent AND three (3) years or more of experience in the review and/or administration of government contracts, grants and agreements, maintenance or construction processes, public administration, or a related field. OR Two (2) years or more of experience as an AOT Contracts Specialist I or AOT Contract Administrator I with the State of Vermont. Total Compensation
