POSITION SUMMARY:

This position works across all departments within the Quality Operations Regulatory (QOR) function in a production environment to ensure processors and lab aides within the cleanroom (CEA) have supplies (materials and instruments) available to complete the work specified on the production schedule for both site locations. This includes ensuring sufficient supplies and maintaining accurate WIP inventory in the cleanroom. The processing and inventory scheduler will also communicate and monitor daily processing priorities to the processing team to ensure the monthly production plan is met.

We are excited to add a new Processing & Inventory Scheduler to our Processing team! This role will pay a base salary between $20.67 - $27.00per hour based on previous experience, location, and other factors.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Manages the organization and storage of supplies, including instruments and PPE, as well as WIP within the CEA.
  • Monitors inventory levels (supplies) in the CEA, working with the Dishroom Supervisor on replenishment and/or to procurement if there is a need to reorder.
  • Perform transactions to manage inventory levels within appropriate systems including SBWeb, QAD, and the daily processing plan. Perform cycle counts in alignment with Finance.
  • Participate in annual (or periodic) company physical inventory counts.


  • Keep CEA storage locations organized, materials and supplies in their proper place, and ensure proper labeling.


  • Communicate production priorities using the daily production plan and ensure the schedule is understood for each process step at the start of the shift. This includes following up with processors and lab aides throughout the day and removing roadblocks to supply and material hinderances in meeting the plan.
  • Report on daily production achieved and highlight areas for improvement.
  • Maintains an organized and clean environment within the cleanroom.
  • Keep coworkers informed of the status of supplies that impact plan achievement.
  • Performs job function in accordance with departmental policy and procedures including all procedures to maintain a safe workplace.

DECISION MAKING/SCOPE OF AUTHORITY:



  • Nature of work requires general supervision; exercises judgement. May be paired with a mentor
  • Work typically involves regular process checks or review of output by a coworker and/or supervisor



SPAN OF CONTROL/COMPLEXITY:



  • Senior support roles highly experienced in areas of complexity and responsibility
  • Performs all of the standard and some specialized more complex aspects of the function; increasing department impact
  • Normally, received little instruction day-to-day
  • Receives general instruction on new assignments


EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:



  • High school diploma required; BA/BS preferred
  • 2 years experience in cleanroom environment and in material handling/scheduling, preferably in the life science industry.
  • Prefer knowledge of Good Documentation Practice (GDP), Good Tissue Practice (GTP), Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and AATB regulations


SKILLS/COMPETENCIES:



  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with individuals at all levels throughout the department, with a focus on customer service.

  • Ability to manage time and workload effectively; organized, flexible, and able to multi-task while maintaining a high level of efficiency and attention to detail.


  • Ability to perform basic math, computer functions including RF scanning processes.
  • MS Suite, data entry, report reading and interpretation


WORK ENVIRONMENT/EXPECTED BUSINESS TRAVEL:

The work is typically performed in a controlled laboratory and/or office environment. Will have contact/exposure with biohazardous materials, chemicals, and blood and human tissue. Training will be conducted on the handling and safety practices necessary for the use and disposal of hazardous chemicals and potential biohazards. Travel between the Company's various office locations, all within 10-mile radius.
