What we are looking for:

Accounting Specialist

Education/Certification



  • Minimum of a BA/BS in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related field and
  • 1 year of accounting related experience preferred


Requirements



  • Detail oriented
  • Excellent verbal and written skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excell and other Microsoft Office Products
  • Familiarity with Deltek Vantagepoint and willingness to learn more
  • Demonstrate the ability to identify issues and apply accounting principles and procedures and
  • Comply with firm practice management, quality control procedures, and confidentiality requirements


Responsibilities:



  • Review, analyze and reconcile general ledger accounts and interpret variances
  • Assist with year-end financials
  • Resolve accounting discrepancies
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements
  • Maintain required records, reports and files
  • Monitor and review bank statements and prepare bank reconciliations monthly
  • Prepare and review invoices
  • Assist with accounts receivable and accounts payable
  • Maintain detailed and accurate spreadsheets for applicable assigned tasks and
  • Assist with accounting related tasks as they are assigned
