What you will do
The MP Site Supervisor is part of our Major Projects Installation division, within the Building Solutions, North America business at Johnson Controls. This position will work onsite for a local customer assisting with managing a construction project. This person will serve as the daily on-site point of contact for customers and subcontractors. Ideal candidate is someone who has multiple years of constructionproject managementexperience. Looking for a strong background in BAS controls, electrical and mechanical systems experience. Will interact with our customer staff, our internal team members, and management on a regular basis.
How you will do it
Serve as the primary on-site point of contact for our customers and subcontractors.
Ensure safe working practices and culture amongst JCI team members and subcontractors on site. Identifysubcontractor non-compliance with safety, health, and environmental quality standards set by JCI and our customers.
Schedule subcontractors and vendors in critical path to ensuretimelycompletion.
Assistwith troubleshooting when necessary.
Perform quality control duties and responsibilitiesregardingthe work being performed by our subcontractor(s).
Communicate with project team regarding ASI's, RFI's, and Material Submittals.
Ensure that subcontractor is fully executing andcomplying withhis contracted scope of work.
Interface with site customer personnel to ensure conformance toDrawing/Hardware/Software/Graphicssite standards.
Coordinate commissioning and validation activities on-site with commissioning agents and site automation engineers.
Schedule commissioning and validation activities with the Validation Engineering Team.
Perform technical reviews of test documents, software, and graphics.
Identifyconflicts in construction progress and communicate them to project team for resolution.
Maintaindaily log (written) of activities on the jobsite.
Ensure subcontractor has corrected all deficienciesidentifiedby project team.
Walk all units on project daily tomonitoractivities andassistin future planning.
Preside over weekly subcontractor meetings designed to coordinate the work.
Issue notices of non-compliance to subcontractorsin regards toquality of work or scheduling.
Ensure that the job site is always kept in a clean and organized manner.
Perform job progress and completion punch list identification and completion.
What we look for
Required
5-7+years of constructionexperience, including with building automation systems (BAS).
Ability to Work on a Large Team Effectively with a Fast Pace. Ability to Take and Give Direction Decisively.
Ability to be Accountable to Deadlines, Manage Multiple Deadlines at a Time
Accountable to Complete Tasks by Requested Deadlines with Quality

Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
Preferred
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Similar Technical Degree
Proficient in Microsoft Project
Experience with Johnson Controls products and software
