AO/Global Analytics Quantitative Analyst

AllianceBernstein L.P. seeks AO/Global Analytics Quantitative Analyst in Nashville, TN to Conduct quantitative analysis of investment portfolio data for ad-hoc user requests. Support portfolio management, marketing, and sales teams by conducting pertinent research to answer Global Analytics inquires and providing interpretation and insights of data findings. Create new QC process and automate existing process using quantitative tools to enhance report quality and increase productivity. Project management – work with Global Analytics and IT teams to design the appropriate framework and infrastructure, and to participate in UAT. Work with vendors and custodians that support Global Analytics Risk team to improve the portfolio modelling of different asset classes. Keep in close communication with end users, get feedback on users’ analytical needs and requirements, work with IT team on further development of products if necessary. Review QC data and fix data issues to ensure accuracy of attribution reports.  Provide standardized and consistent portfolio analytics across all products in support of portfolio management, client servicing and marketing. REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree or foreign degree equivalent in Finance, Economics, Computer Science or related field and two (2) years of experience in the related role or job offered.

SKILLS: Experience and/or education must include the following:

1. Extracting data from SQL database and perform quantitative data analysis using SQL queries and procedures;

2. Quantitative data analysis using Excel;

3. Developing and using advanced VBA macros to conduct quantitative data analysis and research;

4. Business Analysis skills: Subject Matter expertise on Global Analytics Equity attribution methodology and B-One Security Level calculation methodologies and system knowledge on Global Analytics workflow and attribution calculations;

5. Capital Markets Functional Knowledge;

6. Global Analytics Equity attribution methodology and B-One Security calculation methodologies; and

7. System knowledge on Global Analytics workflow and attribution calculation
