Description

Markon is seeking a Systems Administrator that will support the development of enterprise software solutions within AWS for an Intelligence Customer.



Responsibilities

    Provide technical leadership and deliver innovative solutions to meet customer requirements.
  • Support the development of enterprise software solutions within AWS.
  • Develop innovative approaches and solutions using past experience.
  • Perform security patching.
  • Support servers in an AWS environment.
  • Provide execution guidance and practical engineering support to mission teams.
  • Ensure mission-critical applications remain operational 24/7.
  • Support a COTS service that provides attribute data via an LDAP interface to various sponsor systems.


Qualifications

  • Active TS/SCI with FS Polygraph.
  • Bachelor's degree and relevant experience as follows:
    • Full Perf: 3-6 years
    • Senior: 6-11 years
    • Expert: 11-16 years
    • SME: 16+ years
  • Must be an expert in using Linux-based operating systems.
  • Must have strong Bash skills.
  • Must have experience with the security accreditation process.
  • Must have experience with Cloud/Amazon Web Services (AWS).
  • Must be able to support System Administration/Privileged Access duties, including an on-call rotation for approximately one week every two months.
  • Experience with Elastic tools (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana, and Beats).
  • Experience in Cloud Technologies and Infrastructure-as-Code concepts.
  • Understanding of aspects of architecting and designing enterprise cloud solutions and AWS.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented mindset.
  • Experience interacting with cross-functional project teams (Software Development, System Engineering/Verification and Validation, Security, Compliance, and Quality Assurance).
  • Experience working in Agile environments.
  • Experience working with DevOps CI/CD related technologies (GitHub, Jenkins, Puppet, Docker, Rundeck, etc.).
  • Experience with AWS Console, CLI, and managing services, utilizing cloud services to build infrastructure as code in an automated fashion.
  • Ability to read and perform complex software and infrastructure deployment instructions.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience with LDAP technologies.
  • Minimum of one AWS Certification from the AWS Associate level (AWS Certified Architect Associate, AWS Certified Developer Associate, or AWS Certified SysOps Administrator Associate).
  • 3+ years of C2S experience.
  • CloudFormation.
  • Managing complex Sponsor relationships and requirements gathering.
  • Experience with IAM/IDAM/ICAM delivery systems, Authentication, Authorization, and/or Attributes.
  • Experience with Tomcat.
  • Experience with NGINX.
  • Experience with Container implementations.


Salary Range

USD $170,000.00 - USD $210,000.00 /Yr.

The Markon pay range for this position is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
