What you will do:
The assistant plant controller helps lead financial control and accounting activities to assure accurate and timely preparation, recording, transmissions, analysis, and communication of data necessary to control operations and achieve objectives. Provides analysis, counsel, advice, and recommendations to help plant management make business decisions to reduce costs, improve profits and return on investment and to achieve goals and plans. Ensure the integrity of the financial information generated at the plant. Implement consistency and process improvements and spread financial knowledge to other members of the sales and operations teams
How you will do it:
Support Cost Accounting activities and review of BOM's
Standard Cost Analysis by Product
Complete assets under construction conciliation as well as define cash forecast with project managers in order to weekly review with plant staff.
Analyzes the cost structure of a business and extracts actionable information.
Provides managers with insightful costing information.
Helps optimize operational efficiency and profitability.
Support the month end close process and work with the RTR/AP teams.
Assist budgeting and forecasting cycles and provide related analysis for management review.
Complete and distribute required analysis for monthly financial reviews (sales, product mix, conversion costs, labor and warranty analysis)
Identify and execute opportunities to drive profitable growth and improved gross margin and segment income.
Review Continuous Improvement Initiatives financial forecasts and actuals accuracy.
Analyze plant productivity metrics and make recommendations to management on how to improve plant productivity.
Participate in plant Kaizen and CI initiatives and actively identify opportunities to improve financial performance
Participate in physical inventories.
Review payroll data and other personnel related costs with the Shared service center.
Maintain and ensure compliance with Delegation of Authority policy
Improve processes to ensure balance sheet integrity
Ensure adherence to Corporate and Divisional accounting/internal control procedures, SOX compliance and reporting requirements.
Participate and present in plant communication meeting.
Performs special studies and analyses at request of plant or division management.
Performs any other duties as assigned.
What we look for:
Minimum bachelor's degree. Major in Accounting or Finance.
Minimum of 6 years of experience in a manufacturing environment or equivalent trough different experience.
