We are looking for an experienced and motivated individual to fill the position ofAnalyst Lease and Contracts within our Land Administration group based in The Woodlands, TX office. With limited supervision, Lease and Contracts Analyst assists with the effective administration and control of all lease records processes in connection with producing and non-producing properties and interests acquired, owned, operated or purchased.
- Supports Land Operations by reviewing and verifying completeness of the packets for leases and contracts.
- Applies basic knowledge of lease and contract provisions, land terminology and land related systems to create system records.
- Analyses and inputs lease data to ensure completeness, accuracy and consistency.
- Assists with working monthly calendars for leases.
- Updates payment information on rentals, shut-ins, minimum royalties, expirations and obligations.
- Responsible for rental payments and invoicing of payments to partners (including minimum royalties).
- Maintains land records such as amendments and payments, subject to approval.
- Analyses and inputs lease data to ensure completeness, accuracy and consistency.
- Performs duties in a specific geographic area, including analysis of leases, provisions and obligations.
- Prepare maps to assist in contract, lease and company minerals maintenance.
- Navigate online resources to research private and public records.
- Working as part of a team, including working with and assisting Land Operations.
- Communicates internally within team and externally with owners, vendors and other customers.
- Work within the guidance of Land Administration processes, procedures and systems.
- Attends internal and external educational events, along with establishing network contacts with other Land professionals.
Qualifications
- 2+ years relevant experience with Bachelor's degree
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and willing to learn other computer applications
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills - both written and verbal
- Strong organizational skills and detail oriented
- Knowledge of Quorum Land System/SAP experience a plus
- Flexibility to work hours as needed to meet deadlines
- Knowledge of basic land principles
- General understanding of land terminology
