What you will do:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Shipping Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will work onsite to coordinate the consolidation shipments for our international customers. This role is critical to ensuring timely and efficient logistics operations, supporting our shipping processes, and maintaining excellent communication across various stakeholders.

How you will do it:

  • Work onsite to coordinate the consolidation of shipments for international customers, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in the shipping process.
  • Pull relevant data from various sources and transmit it to freight forwarders for shipment arrangements.
  • Effectively communicate with Customer Service Representatives (CSR) and freight forwarders to arrange freight for shipments, ensuring all parties are informed and aligned.
  • Collaborate with the warehouse team to schedule dock times for carriers, ensuring smooth loading and timely dispatch of shipments.
  • Provide support for pack and holds from an onsite perspective, ensuring that all requirements are met and communicated effectively.
  • Manage escalation communications to operations, ensuring that any issues are addressed promptly and that shipments are shipped as scheduled.
  • Utilize Salesforce to update comments, download attachments, and maintain accurate records of shipping activities.

What we look for:

  • Demonstrated ability to adapt and remain flexible when handling new tasks and responsibilities within the workspace.
  • Proven experience in a warehouse environment, with a strong understanding of warehouse operations and industry best practices.
  • Familiarity with warehouse shop floor operations is essential.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be willing to work on-site and maintain a positive, proactive attitude
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with Salesforce or similar CRM systems.
  • Previous experience working with freight forwarders and understanding shipping logistics is a plus.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

  • High school/GED, or 3+ years of experience in leading a team from previous jobs. Any additional industry-related technical school or college degrees will be considered favorable

COMPUTER SKILLS

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) and E-mail is required along with experience in salesforce
