Overview

This is a hybrid role with the expectation that time working will regularly take place inside and outside of a company office located in Phoenix, AZ.

The Human Resources Generalist guides and supports the daily operations of the Human Resources (HR) department supporting Innovation Banking. Creates, updates, and applies all HR policies and company guidelines and makes sure they adhere to standards and laws. Supports HR stakeholders and executes on matters such as succession planning, recognition, talent development, and talent acquisition. Analyzes and manages reports pertaining to employee data.


Responsibilities

  • Business and Program Support - Executes HR programs, processes and projects. Supports HR Business Partners in workforce planning, staffing management and other assigned initiatives. Supports and executes defined organizational guidelines and procedures ensuring regulatory compliance. Ensures successful completion of all initiatives undertaken.
  • Business Alignment - Drives change, encourages flexibility, and facilitates continuous improvement in support of evolving HR and business needs. Champions culture, inclusion, and new opportunities for HR to add value to the Bank.
  • HR Resource - Produces HR system reports using various platforms including UKG, People Insights, Tableau, and Microsoft Excel. Analyzes and assists in data management to track HR KPIs. Creates presentations and produces spreadsheet reporting with recommended actions. Maintains project plans, and meeting schedules. Acts as a resource on various HR matters. Promotes integrated, seamless, and comprehensive support across assigned regions or departments.
  • Risk Mitigation - Supports mitigation strategies to reduce business risks tied to human capital. Aids in employee relations issues with legal exposure as needed.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree and 2 years of experience in Human Resources consulting or as a Human Resources business partner

OR High School Diploma or GED and 6 years of experience in Human Resources consulting or as a Human Resources business partner

Preferred Area of Study: Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of employment laws and regulations
  • Knowledge of current HR trends
  • Human Resources experience within a large financial institution
  • Experience compiling and analyzing data
  • Advanced skills with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • PHR/SPHR
  • SHRM/CP or SCP
