Overview

This is a remote role that may be hired in several markets across the United States.

The Sr. CMDB Analyst will support complex project for the CMDB and ServiceNow Data Foundations supporting CSDM. This role will support the delivery of onboarding new CI classes including activities in requirements elicitation, data profiling, data modeling, data validation, and building reports and dashboards. This role will be instrumental in assuring relevant and quality data is priority from the start and delivering a trusted data source for IT.


Responsibilities

  • Support the development process for onboarding new technologies into the CMDB and Data Foundations. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze requirements for new CI classes, attributes, relationship and CI lifecycles using best practices in data management. Adept in designing solutions for ServiceNow.
  • Document new and existing CI classes to ensure consistent alignment and maintenance of the CMDB schema and Data Foundations tables.
  • Support the implementation of ServiceNow solutions for CMDB and CSDM introducing new capabilities, system enhancements, or remediate defects. Support platform initiatives such as upgrades and instance mergers. Development and maintain operating procedures and job aids to ensure sustainability of continuous support.
  • Create change requests and adhere to all change management delivery processes
  • Support service mapping activities to complete the product to portfolio mappings of our systems.
  • Create and perform unit and UAT testing for developed integrations, classes, and features, including edge cases.
  • Participates in SDLC and Scrum meetings. Work within the Agile framework, including participating in sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospectives.
  • Design, develop, and produce reports using the CMDB data including inventory reports, management reports, impact analysis reports, configuration status reports. Using the CMDB Query Builder for cross data functional views.
  • Collaborate with team members to improve the quality and scalability of the CMDB and Data Foundations.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree and 4 years of experience in Analytics, Modeling or Reporting OR High School Diploma or GED and 8 years of experience in Analytics, Modeling or Reporting

Preferred skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in systems engineering, computer science, information technology, or related field of study or relevant field, required, or additional working experience in lieu.
  • Minimum eight (8) years of relevant experience in Information Technology
  • Minimum of 3 years relevant experience with the CMDB and the CSDM framework.
  • ITIL v3 or v4 certification with advanced knowledge of ITIL best practices and application of concepts with expertise in Configuration Management and working knowledge of ITAM and ITSM processes.
  • Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in data management including data profiling, data modeling, data warehousing and data quality practices.
  • Knowledge of common technology stacks and complex infrastructure from legacy to emerging.
  • Knowledge of Agile and SDLC delivery methods.
  • Ability to demonstrate analytical, problem-solving, project planning, and implementation skills, with experience uncovering root problems and scoping solutions based on available resources and timelines.
  • Strong communication skills to interact with technical and business stakeholders.
  • ServiceNow Certifications in CMDB, Discovery, Application Service Mapping, Platform Analytics a plus.

The base pay for this position is generally between $87,000 and $135,000. Actual starting base pay will be determined based on skills, experience, location, and other non-discriminatory factors permitted by law. For some roles, total compensation may also include variable incentives, bonuses, benefits, and/or other awards as outlined in the offer of employment.
