Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    Conducting geotechnical field investigations;
  • Conducting fieldwork associated with instrumentation and monitoring projects;
  • Data analysis, including preparing maps, tables, and figures;
  • Performing and reviewing engineering calculations;
  • Developing construction documents, including drawings and specifications;
  • Writing and reviewing technical reports, letters, memoranda and proposals; and
  • Prepare and support presentations


Education and Licensure

  • Bachelor's degree in civil, geotechnical, or geological engineering or a related field. (required)
  • Advanced degree in the same. (preferred)


Skills, Experience and Qualifications

  • At least 2 years of work experience in engineering consulting or equivalent combination of education and experience. (required)
  • Strong fundamentals in geotechnical engineering theory and practice. (required)
  • Excellent writing, communication and teamwork skills. (required)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills (required)
  • Excellent organization abilities (required)
  • Experience with geotechnical and engineering software such as AutoCAD, SLIDE, and PLAXIS. (preferred)
  • Strong foundations with geotechnical earthquake engineering theory and applications such as liquefaction modeling and triggering analysis (preferred)
  • Experience with programming language, such as Python, Java, and JavaScript. (preferred)
  • Passion for innovation and continuous improvement (preferred)
  • Regular field work and overnight travel. (required)
  • Health & Safety training, medical monitoring, and client-driven drug and background testing. (required)
  • Valid U.S. driver's license and a satisfactory driving record for business travel. (required)

This opportunity will be posted for at least five days. Below are the potential compensation ranges that we in good faith believe are applicable for this role at the time of this posting and are only applicable for jobs to be performed in the specified location(s) below. The typical base salary range for this position is just one component of Geosyntec's total compensation package for employees. Actual compensation will be determined based on education, experience, skill set and location.

  • Minimum Salary: $76,135/year / Maximum Salary: $95,170 /year (Denver, CO)
