POSITION SUMMARY

This position is responsible for supporting and advising the Functional Controller, as well as the Purchasing Management Team by managing key processes of control account management and providing customer service to internal customers.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.



  • Position involves frequent, regular interaction internally with the FMM procurement staff
  • Support and advise Functional Controller in all their duties, for example, including but not limited to:



    • Material Lead for monthly MEAC meetings



  • Maintain and manage tools for the estimation at completion of all funded hulls (MEAC)
  • Complete analysis and propose additional BOD approval requests for scopes of work
  • Provide support and lead in the coordination of Baseline Change Requests (BCR) Management
  • Monitors the status of program schedules as it relates to material



    • Track, monitor and control costs and schedule agreed by purchasing dept. through purchase order and their compliance with budget and manufacturing schedule
    • Bill of material analysis and check vs. committed and to go costs
    • Lead in maintaining Contract Budget Module for each project
    • Provide assistance and analysis for the quarterly Reforecast MEAC requirements



  • Perform specific analysis as well as miscellaneous associated reports, charts and graphs on program, project or contract status to communicate properly related results



    • Analysis includes cost and schedule variances and variance at completion
    • Research and write variance explanations
    • Root cause analysis with proposed corrective actions
    • Assist cross functional teams with preparation of monthly MEAC analysis
    • Lead for creating and maintaining weekly/monthly reports to support business objectives



  • Coordinates the interaction between Purchasing and other functional departments.
  • Monitors source selection to ensure program objectives are met.
  • Other duties as required
