Summary/Objective:

This position provides business line support for planning product plans and direction, channel support, and sales support. The Product Manager interacts with sales, customers, product development, marketing and customer service to ensure that marketing programming and direction accurately reflects benefits and features from every user perspective and persona.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Develop product plans that drive share and/or revenue growth
  2. Track customer care, dashboard, metrics, consumer feedback, customer satisfaction to measure performance and employment of existing and new functionalities and features
  3. Collaborate with senior managers to define the product roadmap by developing market-specific problem statements, using business cases, scenarios, sharing recommendations and results
  4. Design and implement product launches for offline and online channels
  5. Complete competitive analysis and providing insights to Manager General Manager
  6. Support channel partners with sales collateral, best practices, and training
  7. Collaborate cross functionally on competitor pricing, market development, item analytics, selling and field solutions
  8. Approves press releases, marketing bulletins, & new product launches
  9. Communicate and train Salespeople, Customer Service, Tech Services and other departments on product lines
  10. Collaborate with Quality and Testing teams and provide priority direction
  11. Conduct ongoing product life cycle reviews and works with team on product rationalization
  12. Determine product pricing based on market research, product costs and anticipated demand
  13. Manage a product team and provides coaching, direction and leads by example
  14. Perform other duties as assigned

Working Conditions:

  • Primarily working indoors, office and manufacturing environment.

Qualifications:

  1. Work Experience: 5 years of marketing experience, knowledgeable within towing, military specifications, and automotive parts and accessories
  2. Education: Bachelor's Degree in business, marketing or related field. Some practical knowledge of media blasting, pretreatment process, electrodeposition (E-Coat) paints, powder paints, and liquid paints.
  3. Computer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint)
  4. Organization Skills: Excellent organizational, ability to multi-task and shift priorities as needed
  5. Cross-functional Skills: Ability to communicate and collaborate across all functional areas
  6. Communication Skills: Strong presentation and communication skills, both verbal and written; ability to communicate and collaborate within a high functioning team; professional & pleasant demeanor; demonstrated commitment to building strong business relationships with customer; and vendors who supply; media blasting, pretreatment process, electrodeposition (E-Coat) paints, powder paints, and liquid paints commodities, ability to effectively communicate with senior leaders internally and with customers externally

Supervisory Responsibility:

This role may have supervisory responsibility upon hiring dependent of internal product division.

Physical Demands:

Ability to read, write, type and sit for long periods of time up to 8 hours per day; ability to analyze and solve complex problems; possess a high degree of attention to detail; some travel may be required. Must be able to lift 50 pounds periodically

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time, salaried position working 40-45 hours a week.

Travel:

Travel will be 10% of the role.

Preferred Education and Experience:

  1. Education: MBA or Master's Degree preferred
