Job Description
Description We are looking for a highly skilled and compassionate Colorectal Surgeon to join our medical team. As a Colorectal Surgeon, you will specialize in diagnosing and treating diseases and disorders of the colon, rectum, and anus. Your expertise will play a critical role in improving the quality of life for patients suffering from conditions such as colorectal cancer, inflammatory bowel disease, diverticulitis, and other gastrointestinal issues. You will perform a variety of surgical procedures, including minimally invasive techniques, to address both benign and malignant conditions. In addition to your surgical responsibilities, you will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to develop comprehensive treatment plans tailored to each patient's needs. Responsibilities * No General Surgery call. * Share call with HPB colleagues for rounding on weekends. * Perform surgical procedures, including minimally invasive and robotic techniques. * Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop comprehensive treatment plans. * Provide preoperative and postoperative care to patients. * Educate patients and their families about treatment options and recovery processes. * Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss complex cases. * Stay updated on advancements in colorectal surgery and implement best practices. * Contribute to research and education in the field of colorectal surgery. Requirements * Medical degree and board certification in General Surgery and Colorectal Surgery. * Valid medical license to practice in the relevant jurisdiction. * Extensive experience in performing colorectal surgical procedures. * Strong knowledge of gastrointestinal diseases and treatment options. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. * Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment. * Commitment to patient-centered care and continuous professional development. * Proficiency in using advanced surgical technologies and techniques. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS North Carolina Medical License, DEA License, BLS/ACLS certification preferred. Board certified in Internal Medicine.
