Position Summary
The Data Management Analyst plays a critical role in ensuring the accurate, timely and comprehensive setup of security attributes, issuer attributes and other data sets that support the investment, accounting and compliance functions utilizing Aladdin and external data sources (Bloomberg, Intex, LSEG, in house applications). This position will require a broad functional understanding of domestic and global securities including complex structured fixed income products, equity, and derivatives. The Analyst should be familiar with system architecture, data flow, and workflow to support the Security Master. In addition, Data Management works closely in issue resolution for Principal and Interest posting and investigation to accounting irregularities. This position will collaborate with the Investment Management Team and will liaise with other key groups within the firm, including Risk Management, Investment Compliance, Settlements, Derivative Operations, Information Technology and Portfolio Reconciliation.
Essential Duties
Monitor Aladdin Dashboard Trading, Compliance, Email, or IBChat for set-up of all securities purchased by the investment teams. Securities including but not limited to securitized (ABS, CMBS, CMO, and MBS products), treasuries, corporates, bank loans, exchange- traded derivatives, OTC derivatives, Emerging Markets and Private Structure Deals timely.
- Monitor Aladdin Dashboard for Asset, Principal, and Interest Reconciliation.
- Monitor Aladdin Dashboard for Accounting issues.
- Perform analysis including cleansing, transforming, validating, or modeling data for improving data quality, design and presenting.
- Track securities that require manual updates; develop data sources and perform timely maintenance to enable accurate data output for Reconciliation, Trading, and Settlements.
- Serve as company-wide resource for data inquiries; research asset discrepancies and defaulted securities by using Bloomberg, contacting trustees, and communicating with brokers and vendors.
- Interface with Bloomberg and Data License/Bloomberg on data issues.
- Participate in special projects and research for systems enhancement, automation, and efficiencies as requested by management.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in; Finance, Mathematics, Economics, or a similar field
- Must have Fixed Income securities experience.
- 2-5 years' experience managing Security Master data for Investment Management.
- Asset management industry experience with broad understanding of trading, compliance, settlement and accounting processes and associated data management needs
- Experience in maintaining data, defining operational processes, and partnering across departments.
- Solid working knowledge of fixed income and equity securities - domestic and global securities, ABS, MBS, Bank Loans, Swaps, Futures, and Options
- Knowledge of Portfolio Management System: Aladdin, CRD, Eagle, or Geneva.

- Knowledge of Aladdin, SQL Snowflake, SharePoint, Jira, and K2
- Strong computer skills with demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel, SQL, Word, and Bloomberg/Bloomberg API/Bloomberg DL+
Estimated Compensation: Base Salary: For NY or CA based position, the base salary range is $70k to $90k. This is an anticipated range only. Other Compensation: Eligible to be considered for an annual discretionary bonus. Benefits: Eligible for TCW's comprehensive benefits package. #LI-SW1
