Senior Mobility Systems Engineer (Part-Time)

Peraton is looking for a (Part-Time) Sr. Mobility Systems Engineer to support the design, fielding, and sustainment of Mobile Device Management (MDM)/Unified Endpoint Management (UEM) platforms. Aside from technical qualifications, application should have effective communication skills, both written and verbal. The applicant must have operational support, patching, and extensive knowledge of Mobility ecosystem, including experience with mobile device patching and application support. A passion for performance, strong desire for quality conformance, and attention to detail are prerequisites for this position.

Day to Day Work Responsibilities:

Configure DHS OCIO Mobility - Enterprise Mobility Management (EMM) solution (i.e., VMWare Workspace ONE, Intune, JAMF) and deploy mobile archive apps/connectors when applicable
• 2+ years of experience with deploying iOS Supervised controls and Apple Business Manager
• Gather requirements for business mobility solutions or technologies to facilitate deployment of new and/or improve maintenance of existing mobile solutions
• Determine hardware, software, and resource requirements to implement and upgrade Mobile Device Management (MDM) environments based on current and forecasted customer requirements
• Experience with Mobile Application Vetting (MAV) and Kyryptowire mobile application scanning.
• Develop test plans and support documentation (Quick Reference Guides) to enable quality deployment of business mobility solutions
• Develop onboarding and offboarding processes for use of mobile archiving.
• Serve as technical liaison to vendors for customer MDM environment support issues
• Coordinate the evaluation of mobility solution requests from the various business areas.
• Understand and comply with Change Management processes for client environments
• Reviews and evaluates mobile applications for workflow and project activities for compliance with technology and development guidelines and standards.
• Experience with VMware Workspace ONE and Microsoft Intune MDM
• Experience with F5 G/L TM technologies (Global / Local Traffic Management), SSL certificate lifecycle management & reverse proxies.
• Experience with Azure Cloud & O365 Technologies
• Proficient in Apple Mobile Operating Systems (iPad / iPhone)

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree and 8 years of experience or a Associates Degree and 10 years of experience or a Masters degree and 6 years of experience or a High School diploma and 12 years of experience.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance.
• 5+ years of Mobility Device Management (MDM) engineering ecosystem support - design, deployment, and sustainment.
• Experience with engineering and configuring On-Premises Workspace One UEM (formally AirWatch)
• Experience with Windows and Linux Server Administration
• Experience with On-Premises Active Directory and Azure Active Directory
• Experience with engineering PKI concepts and certificate integrations
• Experience with analyze system design to assist with the resolution of network issues
• Experience with NTLM, SAML, OAUTH, Kerberos, Kerberos Constrained Delegation, Certificate Authentication
• Working Knowledge of Azure AD Conditional Access Controls
• Experience with Windows SQL Servers
• Understanding of OSI layers to support network troubleshooting methodologies
• Experience in engineering and configuring Single Sign-On solutions on iOS mobile devices
• Experience in PowerShell Scripting
• Experience with executing API calls (i.e., GET, PUT, POST, DELETE, etc....)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Designs and leads all aspects of infrastructure patches and operations
• Designs and leads all aspects of end user mobile device OS and Application patches and operations
• Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility
• Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other teams/vendors
• Develops and manages mobile application lifecycle management process
• Perform analysis, diagnosis, and resolution of complex problems for customers and recommend/implement corrective solutions
• Receive and respond to incoming calls, e-mails, instant messages, and voicemails and ticket queues.
• Experience with developing and presenting engineering designs and diagrams
• Provides assessments of technical and operational practices based on leading industry standards
• Experience with configuration management of iOS mobile devices
• Establish and maintain effective professional relationships with management, staff, and people at all levels, both internally and externally
• Communicate comprehensive information, ideas, and advice in a clear, concise, and logical manner, both orally and in writing
