Empath Health is currently seeking a Pediatric CNA to join our team.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Under the direction of a registered nurse, the pediatric CNA is responsible for providing personal care and tasks related to the activities of daily living.
  • The CNA should be able to respond sensitively to patient/family needs by observing and reporting any changes, including physical, spiritual, social and emotional, to a registered nurse.
  • The CNA must report changes in the patient's medical, nursing, rehabilitative, and social needs to a registered nurse, as the changes relate to the plan of care.

    Qualifications/Requirements:

    • Experience: Six months to one-year pediatric experience and/or training preferred.
    • Licensure:
      • Valid Florida Board of Nursing certification (CNA License).
      • Valid Florida State Driver's License
    • Continuing education: Meets State/Federal certification guidelines including 12 hours annual in-service.
    • Certifications:
      • Current/valid CNA Certification
      • Valid CPR certification from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association.
    • Ability to lift/pull/push up to 75 lbs.
    • Demonstrated experience in caring for terminally ill children and children with life-threatening illnesses is preferred.
    • Typing/keyboarding skills strongly preferred.
    • For field-based positions, employees must have reliable transportation which will enable them to perform tasks and responsibilities in a timely and appropriate fashion. Must provide proof of valid automobile insurance, a copy of which will be placed in the employee's HR file.
