As a Sterile Processing Technician at Salem Health, you'll be at the heart of healthcare, ensuring that our surgical teams have access to the instruments they need to provide top-notch care. - Decontaminates and prepares items following departmental standards and equipment guidelines.
- Prepares items for sterilization using correct procedures, indicators, and labels.
- Operates and maintains sterilizers, ensuring proper function and reporting maintenance issues.
- Assembles and prepares case carts efficiently and independently.
- Handles and organizes surgical trays, instruments, and drills for proper assembly.
- Maintains a clean and safe work environment, identifying and addressing safety hazards.
Background/experience
- Must hold either a current Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) certification OR a current Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician(CSPDT) certification.
