Location Site: Salem Hospital Main Campus; 890 Oak St SE, Salem, Oregon 97301Department: SH DistributionPosition Type: Full Time, 40 hours/week, Non-ExemptStart time/Shift/Schedule: 8:00am-4:30pm; Friday - Tuesday Your role with us As a Distribution Technician at Salem Health, you will play a critical role in ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of supplies throughout the hospital. You will receive electronic orders, pick up and deliver supplies to various departments, and maintain accurate records of outgoing and patient charge supplies. This role requires attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and excellent communication abilities to provide exceptional support to our healthcare teams. What you'll do Receive electronic orders from departments Pick up and deliver supplies in various areas throughout the hospital Keeps accurate records for outgoing supplies and patient charge supplies. Accurately receives inventory to the shelf locations. Fill and delivers orders as computer and telephone requests are received. Restock specialty carts. Background/experienceMinimum (3) years experience in stocking, warehouse or transporting, preferably in a hospital setting.Must be able to work weekends, holidays and be able to rotate shifts as needed.Must be able to read and follow procedures.Knowledge of inventory management required. Must be able to operate computer and facsimile machines; Must be able to work under pressure. Good interpersonal communication skills and telephone etiquette required.
