PART-TIME GROUNDS & LIGHT MAINTENANCE

Gorman & Company is looking for a part time Grounds & Light Maintenance Technician who is committed to providing first class groundskeeping and light maintenance services as part of a collaborative maintenance team in the Little Rock area. Groundskeeping and Light Maintenance is one of the most important jobs for maintaining community housing properties in a safe, attractive, and comfortable condition for our residents.

A day in the life of a Part-Time Grounds and Light Maintenance Technician:

Work with our maintenance team to perform grounds maintenance such as lawn services, maintaining shrubs and gardens, spraying insecticides and clean-up.
Outdoor building maintenance - painting, light bulbs, install and/or maintain fences.
Assist outside contractors and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors.
Assist in supplies inventory control and upkeep of all ground's equipment.
Complete corrective maintenance by completing service requests.
Assist with unit preparation to include painting, cleaning, repairing and/or replacing appliances, plumbing, and/or electrical fixtures.
Emergency maintenance/On-Call when needed.

What do I need to qualify to be a Part-Time Groundskeeper and Light Maintenance Technician?

Ability to work 25 hours per week.
Must have your own vehicle and a valid driver's license.
Previous grounds keeping / landscaping / maintenance experience required.
Excellent mechanical aptitude with ability to operate lawn equipment.
Must be able to read work orders / service requests.
Good safety habits.
Ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of people.
