General Purpose:




Set up and operates a production machine in accordance with established procedures and guidelines. Reads and interprets ingredients to select controls and secure machinery. Adjusts machine settings to complete tasks accurately, according to specifications, and in a timely fashion. Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks.



Duties and Responsibilities:



  • The Operator is responsible for setting up and changing equipment based upon product need, while adhering to all food safety and food quality guidelines.
  • Observes all safety rules and regulations including use of personal protective equipment.
  • Follows all established DFA's Good Manufacturing Practices, including maintaining an orderly and clean work area, and work in a manner consistent with corporate and regulatory quality and sanitation requirements
  • Must be able to set up, change over, adjust, repair and operate all machinery/ equipment.
  • Ensures all equipment is in operating condition and ready for on time startup.


As a Full-Time team member, you would work between 40 and 50 hours per week and overtime may be required. We set industry standards in terms of pay and benefits. Please take a moment to ensure that you meet the minimum requirements for this position:



  • You are at least 18 years of age or older
  • You will be required to work on some weekends, holidays as well as off shift
  • You are mechanically inclined, have at least 1 year of machine operator experience in a high-speed manufacturing environment
  • You have basic math skills, can read and write in English. Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
  • You are able to stand and walk for extended periods of time
  • You are able to repeatedly lift, carry, push, pull, and handle products of up to 40lbs.
