Responsibilities

The Computer Science - Technical PM will provide direct program management and engineering support to a Department of Defense customer executing research, engineering, prototyping, development, and rapid acquisition project execution. They will serve as the research director for state-of-the-art cyber vulnerability research across multiple domains including high performance computing systems, artificial intelligence, and machine learning. This position will be located in Arlington, Virginia.

Your essential job functions will include but may not be limited to:

  • Work in small, targeted teams to identify emerging capabilities, organize studies and concept development, rapidly prototype and deliver advanced capabilities to the warfighter
  • Plan, oversee, and foster a portfolio of projects supporting customer efforts
  • Evaluate contractor performance and perform quantitative evaluations of results
  • Provide oral and written briefings to senior DoD leadership, create written reports detailing assessment findings, and make recommendations to DoD customers and external partners
  • Explore and understand computer science/cyber-related developments and emerging related technologies to understand how the project should adapt and grow over time
  • Build, lead, inspire, and enable a diverse research team to carry out foundational, often novel, research
  • Work as a trusted, strategic partner with the customer by delivering actionable insights about emerging cyber-related technologies, threats, and advancements
  • Ability to turn qualitative insights into technical research efforts and products

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of relevant experience and 5 years' experience within technical program management.
  • Proven hands-on experience developing or strong technical understanding of computer language, code development, software execution and test
  • Excellent spoken, written, and interpersonal skills
  • Experience with Department of Defense hardware or weapon system prototyping, test, or operations
  • Experience with one or more programming languages (C/C++, Java, Python, etc.)

Minimum Educational Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in computer science, computer engineering, systems engineering, mathematics, physics, or other quantitative field

Clearance Requirements:

  • Candidate will need to have a US TS SCI security clearance
