What you will be doing

The Program Manager will manage various projects, programs, and commercial discussions across one of our Tier 1 clients. The role involves liaising with multiple FIS departments, including Client Services, Professional Services, Development and Sales, to ensure seamless communication and collaboration with the client. This position requires a proactive individual who can handle complex tasks and foster strong relationships with both internal teams and the client's leadership.

Projects are likely to include large numbers of staff working on different phases of activity. The ability to manage multiple 'moving parts' therefore needs to be balanced with the ability to manage and lead potentially large groups and virtual teams of professional staff.

A key element of any successful delivery needs to be business profitability, therefore the ability to demonstrate large scale budgetary management is crucial.

  • In conjunction with the Capital Markets stakeholders, initiate and set goals for programs and projects according to the strategic objectives of the business
  • Plan the programs from start to completion
  • Ensure the product delivery program (BA, dev, QA i.e. 'build'), the implementations projects and the support teams (MSPC, AMS, Customer Services) are aligned
  • Define evaluation strategies to monitor performance and determine the need for improvements: work with the Dev Manager, QA Manager, different Project Managers to define and adapt those strategies.
  • Participate/lead various communication programs and activities (Steering Committee, Operational Committee, C-Level Executives)
  • Formulation, organisation and monitoring of multiple, large, often inter-connected projects
  • Oversight, composition and ownership of the delivery strategy
  • Responsibility for leading and evaluating Project Managers and other staff
  • Strictly control and manage deadlines, budgets and activities
  • Assume full responsibility for the portfolio performance
  • Be a point of escalation for higher scope issues

What you bring:

  • Experience within the Financial Technology or Consulting domain
  • Substantial proven experience as program director or other managerial position
  • Experience of managing complex, high value programs and a thorough understanding of project/program management techniques and methods
  • Ability to network effectively, negotiate well and influence people
  • Excellent knowledge of performance evaluation techniques and key metrics
  • Working knowledge of MS office and program management software (MS Project etc.)and first-class presentation skills
  • Willingness to travel when necessary

FIS is committed to providing its employees with an exciting career opportunity and competitive compensation. The pay range for this full-time position is $117,620.00 - $197,580.00 and reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this position based on the posted role, level, and location. Within the range, actual individual starting pay is determined additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Any changes in work location will also impact actual individual starting pay. Please consult with your recruiter about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.
