Your Role

We're looking for a talented Application Engineer to join our team and contribute to the development of cutting-edge compressor technologies. As part of the Application Engineering team, you will play a crucial role in conceptual compressor aerodynamic and mechanical design for custom machinery. You'll be responsible for preparing technical and commercial proposals according to customer specifications and supporting our global sales force. You will report to the Application Engineering Manager and work closely with the other application engineers, the sales team, and other engineering groups. This is a hybrid position located in Voorheesville, NY.

As an Application Engineer:



  • You will conduct compressor calculations.
  • You will prepare comments and exception in line with product capabilities and company policies.
  • You will develop proper cost structures using proprietary tools.
  • You will create technical and commercial proposals.
  • You will specify and request proposals for buy out items from vendors.
  • You will review and comment on customer terms and conditions with legal team support.
  • You will travel and attend customer meetings worldwide.
  • You will negotiate technical and commercial points to secure orders.
  • You will hand over won projects to the order execution team.
  • You will support other application engineers when necessary.




To succeed, you will need

We're looking for a mechanical engineering professional with experience working with proposals for commercial equipment. The ideal candidate will possess:



  • A Bachelors degree in engineering or equivalent education and work experience.
  • Technical and business communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects effectively.
  • Interest in compressor applications in various markets including Hydrogen, Carbon Capture, Renewable Energy, Air Separation, Power Generation, LNG, Oil & Gas, and Chem/Petrochem
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in the field of turbo-machinery equipment preferred
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally (up to 10%).
