WRITER II Equity Pod description:

As a Writer II, you will write content for the equity business line, one of the foundational parts of the company. You will work on materials ranging from insight articles to product brochures. You'll develop original content by collaborating with content stakeholders and investment professionals to determine strategic direction, key objectives, and themes for content. You'll be leveraged as a resource to ensure the content aligns with business goals, communicates the desired message to the intended audience, and adheres to corporate brand standards, style guides, and legal and compliance guidelines. Your background in communications or writing on financial topics within the finance industry has prepared you for the contributions you'll make in this role. You're up for a challenge. Our environment is fast-paced, and no two days are the same.

I am the right person Capital Group is looking for:

  • You have a bachelor's degree in finance, economics, statistics, journalism, communication or a relevant field of study.
  • You have effective written communication skills for a diverse group of associates and a diverse group of individuals outside the organization.
  • You have a foundational knowledge of the investment industry.
  • Your background includes work as a marketing writer, preferably within the financial services industry or as a journalist/copywriter covering finance.
  • You thrive in team settings. You ask great questions, bounce ideas off others, and proactively share your perspective.
  • You're well-versed in synthesizing information and presenting in a distilled manner.
  • You have an aptitude for story telling in a quantitative context, crafting narratives using data.
  • You are courageous and confident, adding value to high performing teams with heightened urgency.
Los Angeles Base Salary Range: $108,135-$173,016

In addition to a highly competitive base salary, per plan guidelines, restrictions and vesting requirements, you also will be eligible for an individual annual performance bonus, plus Capital's annual profitability bonus plus a retirement plan where Capital contributes 15% of your eligible earnings.
