Position Summary The Adolescent and Young Adult Research (AYAR) team at the Center for Dissemination and Implementation Science (CDIS) at the University of Illinois Chicago is seeking a 50% Visiting Research Associate I. The Visiting Research Associate I will support the Legal, Economic, and Affirming Peer (LEAP) Support: A Status-Neutral Multicomponent Intervention to Improve HIV Prevention and Care Continua Outcomes Among Transgender and Gender Diverse (TGD) Youth project. This prospective randomized controlled trial (RCT) will examine the impact of LEAP on Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) prevention and care outcomes. The study will test the effectiveness of LEAP, an HIV status-neutral multicomponent intervention, designed to provide gender-affirming individualized HIV prevention and treatment peer support, address health-harming legal needs, and improve educational and employment outcomes for translation into real-world practice. The primary responsibility of this position will be to deliver one-on-one and group sessions to the target population, and assist with recruitment and retention, while maintaining study protocols.
