Very similar to the TV Show "Pickers", we are seeking a qualified candidates to travel to multiple Goodwill retail locations and identify various products to sell on our ecommerce platform, Shopgoodwill.com/MD

Our eCommerce operation is divided into multiple departments, and we are currently searching for team members with a specific passion, and knowledge for one or more of the following:

Instruments, artwork, books, comics, vintage records, electronics, vintage to modern collectibles, and/or are familiar with designer fashion brands.

Work Schedule: Mon - Friday: 10am to 6:30pm

Pay Range: $19.10-$23.88, based on experience specific to the position

JOB SUMMARY:

The eCommerce Product Specialist primary responsibility will be traveling to Goodwill retail stores and identifying donated goods in specific categories, such as Instruments, Artwork, Books, Comics, Vintage Records, Electronics, Vintage to modern collectibles and/or are familiar with designer fashion brands, to be sold on Goodwill's eCommerce platform. The eCommerce Product Specialist will also train store staff to recognize products to send to eCommerce. The eCommerce Product Specialist sorts, evaluates, and selects donations for E-Commerce site, maintains accuracy and efficiency while achieving goals provided by supervisor, and assists customers while providing exceptional customer service.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Travels to multiple locations daily to identify specific items, designers, and maker's marks through use of web-based research and proper judgment and communication
  • Provides in-store trainings to store staff to assist the with identifying products to send to eCommerce
  • Walks the sales floor to identify product for eCommerce. Reviews potential items for quality, and value. Sorts through and approves products selected by store staff
  • Interacts with members of management and store personnel from various locations in a professional manner
  • Meets established goals
  • Maintains compliance with all safety, driving and housekeeping practices
  • Promotes the mission and values of Goodwill through daily interaction
  • Performs additional duties as assigned

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

  • Product knowledge highly preferred in the following: artwork, books, comics, vintage records, electronics, vintage to modern collectibles and/or familiarity with designer fashion brands
  • High School diploma or equivalent required

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

  • Must possess a current valid and unrestricted driver's license and be fully insured according to Maryland law.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Medium

Lifting up to 50 pounds maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 25 pounds. May be required to regularly stand for extended periods of time, walk, reach with hands/arms with full range of motion, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, push or pull. Regularly required to talk and hear. Frequently required to use hands and fingers to hold, handle and feel objects, knobs, keys and/or buttons.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:

Travel is defined as travel to all areas within Goodwill's territory (Cecil, Harford, Baltimore, Howard, and Anne Arundel Counties, Baltimore City. In some cases, travel may be unplanned.

More than 75% of working time

Must have access to personal vehicle

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Moderate

Employee may be exposed to moving mechanical parts, wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles and outside weather conditions. The noise level is usually moderate.
