Responsibilities

Mountain Youth Academy (a UHS company) is seeking a Licensed Therapist (or Master's Level eligible for licensure as an LCSW, LPC) to join our growing team!

Mountain Youth Academy is centrally located near Johnson City, TN, Boone, NC, and Abingdon, VA. We are a 120-bed residential treatment facility and assist in the evaluation, diagnosis and treatment of a wide range of behavioral health issues for our young adolescent patients.

Retention Bonus Available:
Mountain Youth Academy is offering a $15,000.00 retention bonus for licensed therapists or those eligible for licensure in the State of Tennessee, who meet the expectations of the job description, who agree to remain continually and actively employed at a full-time status, and who successfully perform their job duties from 11/14/2024 thru 12/31/2028. Payments would be $1250.00 at 90 days; $1250.00 at 9 months and then an additional $1250.00 each following three months until 48 months of employment/ payment is achieved. POSITION SUMMARY:

Responsible for overseeing and coordinating delivery of clinical services to patients on designated unit to include clinical support, conducting interventions, psychosocial assessments, developing treatment plans, conducting group, individual and family therapy.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: (include, but are not limited to, the following)

    • Monitors adherence to the program schedule and assists the residential team in coordinating the patients's care, ICMPs, behavioral contracts, etc.
    • Attends and assists in treatment team meetings and clinical /residential staffing meetings.
    • Participates in group and individual supervision.
    • Maintains the EHR for patients assigned to their caseload.
    • Communicates with the dorm team(s).
    • Assists with mentoring and orienting new therapists to the facility.
    • Provides admissions personnel with ongoing admissions and discharge information.
    • Completes an abbreviated bio-psychosocial with the patient within 24 hours of admission or by the next business day.
    • Works with the multidisciplinary treatment team, identifies treatment goals and objectives
    • Goals/objectives are measurable, and time bound. Develop individualized treatment plans for assigned students.
    • With the treatment team, identifies interventions that clearly relate to the treatment objectives, and establishes discharge criteria.
    • Completes treatment plan reviews monthly and ensures that progress in treatment is clearly documented in a timely manner.
    • Conducts group therapy sessions as assigned. Ensures that group therapy progress notes are completed according to facility policy.
    • Conducts individual therapy sessions as assigned. Ensures that individual therapy progress notes are completed according to facility policy.
    • Conducts family therapy sessions as assigned. Ensures that family therapy progress notes are completed according to facility policy.
    • Develops and conducts educational lectures for students and/or families as assigned.
    • Completes re-assessments of students.
    • Participates as QA for clinical paperwork.
    • Works with Mobile Crisis if indicated

This position is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the delivery of patient continuing care and family services. This includes providing clinical support conducting interventions, conducting psychosocial assessments, developing the patient's treatment plan, conducting group, individual and family therapy.

Qualifications

LPC and/or LCSW licensed in the State of Tennessee preferred or the candidate must have a Master's Degree in a related field that would allow the candidate eligible to gain licensure as an LPC, LCSW in the State of Tennessee . Prefer two years' experience conducting group, individual and family therapy using a variety of treatment modalities. Supervision is provided for those Master level candidates seeking licensure.
