Shift Timing (Day/ Evening/ Night): Day: 7:00-3:30 || Lunch: 12:00-12:30 (unpaid)
Job Description:
- Reporting to the Senior Trainer, this position within the division of Local Training and Development (LTD) responsible for supporting virtual, instructor-led training to Human Services Staff and related stakeholders. This position is responsible for managing the technical aspects of online training sessions, ensuring smooth delivery by supporting the facilitator, monitoring participant engagement, troubleshooting technical issues, and coordinating all elements of a virtual learning environment to provide a positive and seamless training experience for learners.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Highly skilled in navigating, hosting, and troubleshooting on video conferencing platforms including WebEx, Zoom, and MS Teams to include setting up meetings, surveying participants, facilitating breakout groups, and using platform data to analyze participant engagement and interaction.
- Able to troubleshoot technological issues in a virtual classroom to ensure a seamless experience for all participants.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Suite products including Word, Excel, Outlook, OneDrive, SharePoint, MS Teams, and PowerPoint.
- Skilled in the use of a Learning Management System.
- Able to anticipate and mitigate potential distractions in a virtual classroom.
- Able to analyze the effectiveness of a virtual event from a technological perspective and make recommendations for process improvements.
- Prepared for any potential accommodations for learners who require closed-captioning, or other accessibility support.
- Able to effectively communicate technical directions and processes, orally and in writing.
- Available to travel to the home office in Glen Allen VA as required by supervisor or division director
Qualifications:
- Considerable experience in the use of Microsoft Suite products including Word, Excel, Outlook, OneDrive, SharePoint, MS Teams, and PowerPoint.
- Considerable experience in the use of video conferencing platforms including WebEx, Zoom, and MS Teams.
- Experience in professional training support in a virtual environment is preferred.
- Professional experience in an administrative support position is preferred.
- Professional experience in a Human Services field is preferred.
Virtual Training Producer
- Reporting to the Senior Trainer.
- May work remotely or onsite at an office.
- Weekday hours vary 8-5 based on need of the supervisor.
