Product Management Intern - Summer 2025

We are seeking students that are interested in a Summer 2025 internship supporting Product Management. The Product Management Intern will report to the Lending Product Manager and will assist with designing a youth program and product suite to engage members' children, starting with their first savings accounts and transitioning them into checking and lending products as they grow.

The intern will research the needs of youth members at different ages, looking at ways to adapt our current products or create new ones, like special savings programs or youth-friendly lending options. The intern will help the Product Management team shape the program, including the features and details of the accounts, and brainstorm strategies to launch and grow it. This work may include planning marketing campaigns, partnering with schools or community groups, and creating processes to make it easy for families to get started. Focusing on helping members move smoothly from youth accounts to adult products will also be part of this assignment. This is a hands-on opportunity to work on financial product design, strategy, and team collaboration while building something meaningful for our members!

Requirements for the Product Management internship

• Currently attending an accredited college or university
• Rising juniors and seniors working toward a bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Sociology, Marketing or Communications. Rising sophomores may be considered.
• Minimum 3.0 GPA.
• Ability to work 32 hours per week for the summer (generally 8:00-5:00 Monday-Thursday) for the duration of the 12-week program (5/27/2025 - 8/14/2025). The schedule will involve onsite days based in Lake Forest, IL. Local candidates only.
• Proficient with Word, PowerPoint, Excel and the wider Microsoft Office suite including email, calendaring, and instant messaging.
• Experience with research or data analytics software is a plus!
• Qualitative and quantitative research skills.
• Problem-solving through school or previous internships.
• Ability to brainstorm and develop innovative ideas.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Experience in group projects or clubs.
• Professional written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently after receiving work direction.

Compensation and Benefits

Budgeted amount for starting hourly rate: $18.50
