Key Position Details:

Primary location can be determined by where candidate lives. Expectation is to go on-site to all locations New Ulm, Saint Francis (Shakopee), Faribault, Owatonna

Job Description:

Provides accreditation, certification, and regulatory program leadership and oversight at the business unit level. Partners with site or service line teams to operationalize accreditation, certification, and regulatory requirements to ensure compliance and incorporate high-reliability principles and tools into these efforts. Actively leads the development, implementation and evaluation of site/clinical service line accreditation, certification, and regulatory initiatives. Leads data analysis, gap assessments, and presentations related to priority accreditation, certification, and regulatory standards, as well as processes and projects at the site level. Supports system Physician and Clinical and Operational Leaders to mobilize teams to improve compliance with accreditation, certification, and regulatory standards to optimize patient outcomes.

Principle Responsibilities

  • Develops and implements processes to meet accreditation, certification, and regulatory standards, reduces duplication of efforts and gain efficiency in the program.
    • Leads development of site accreditation, certification, and regulatory processes including internal surveys, application updating, system contracts, and internal tracers.
    • Establishes a sustainable approach to regulatory compliance.
    • Serves as lead surveyor during internal surveys.
    • Serves as survey leader during external surveys.
  • Collaborates with and provides expert level guidance and support to business unit leadership, clinical and departmental teams in functional area.
    • Incorporates HRO principles and improvement tools into regulatory/accreditation project implementation and sustainment.
    • Serves as consultant and key content expert for clinical and operational team members.
    • Provides expert advice in complex situations, and is a key leader in decision-making.
  • Leading system and site policy and procedure development, revision and implementation to ensure alignment to accreditation, certification, and regulatory requirements.
    • Identifies existing and needed regulatory processes and procedures, and ensure accreditation expertise/perspective is included in clinical and operational policies.
    • Leads teams to develop or revise policies and procedures.
    • Collaborates with key leaders to reliably implement policies and procedures in alignment with safety & quality principles and practices.
  • Possesses and provides expert level knowledge in accreditation, certification and regulatory tasks and addresses problems.
    • Establishes and facilitates relationship with accrediting body and department of health surveyors and key contacts.
    • Serves as a key content and subject matter expert and primary contact for business unit and across the system as appropriate.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Public Health, Pharmacy, Health Care Administration, Engineering or other health care related field required
  • 2+ years experience in accreditation, certification, or regulatory required (actively leading survey readiness or formal accreditation/regulatory role)
  • 5+ years healthcare experience in related field

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Nursing, Public Health, Pharmacy, Health Care Administration, Engineering or other health care related field required

Pay Range

Pay Range: $43.65 to $60.40 per hour The pay described reflects the base hiring pay range. Your starting rate would depend on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, your experience, education, and the union agreement (if applicable). Shift, weekend and/or other differentials may be available to increase your pay rate for certain shifts or work.
