Overview

As a leveraged finance credit officer in credit risk management, you'll play an integral role in contributing to the success of Deutsche Bank's leveraged lending franchise. You will partner with front office colleagues to analyze leveraged transactions, manage a portfolio of leveraged counterparties, and participate in regulatory audits. You will also play a critical role in ensuring adherence to all credit policies, associated governance, internal data quality, and regulatory reporting.

What You'll Do

  • Support the review and credit approval of leveraged finance transactions including LBOs, M&A financings, hold commitments and other requests

  • Perform due diligence and support determination of internal and regulatory ratings as well as the preparation of detailed credit recommendations for approval with relevant authority holders

  • Ensure that credit approval documentation is consistent with the Bank's policies and applicable regulations

  • Monitor the hold book in conjunction with the credit monitoring team and front office.

  • Support the preparation of annual rating and credit reviews

  • Assist in interactions with auditors and regulators and support related reporting requirements.

  • Take part in diverse internal projects

Skills You'll Need

  • A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics from an accredited college or university and a minimum moderate experience

  • Strong credit risk analysis skills (leveraged finance experience is a plus) as well as knowledge of financial modeling/forecasting and valuation methodologies

  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, Word, and Power Point

Skills That Will Help You Excel

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities under time pressures

  • Understanding of leveraged finance markets, loan documentation and regulatory standards

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to explain potentially complex and nuanced transaction structures to relevant stakeholders

Expectations

It is the Bank's expectation that employees hired into this role will work in the New York, New York office in accordance with the Bank's hybrid working model.

The salary range for this position in New York, NY is $100,000 to $142,250. Actual salaries may be based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's skill set, experience, education, work location and other qualifications. Posted salary ranges do not include incentive compensation or any other type of remuneration.
