seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Leave and Accommodation Specialist to join our Human Resources team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and administering leave of absence programs and workplace accommodations, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations, and providing support to employees throughout the leave and accommodation process.
*Key Responsibilities:* * *Leave Management:* Administer and manage all types of employee leave, including FMLA, personal leave, medical leave, and other statutory leave programs. * *Accommodation Coordination:* Assist employees in requesting and implementing workplace accommodations in compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and other relevant laws. * *Documentation:* Maintain accurate and confidential records of leave and accommodation requests, approvals, and communications. Ensure proper documentation for compliance and audit purposes. * *Compliance:* Stay informed about federal, state, and local leave and accommodation laws and regulations. Ensure hospital policies and practices comply with these laws. * *Employee Support:* Provide guidance and support to employees throughout the leave and accommodation process. Answer questions and address concerns in a compassionate and professional manner. * *Communication:* Coordinate with employees, managers, healthcare providers, and other stakeholders to facilitate smooth leave and accommodation processes. * *Training:* Educate and train managers and employees on leave policies, procedures, and accommodation processes. *Qualifications:* * *Education:* Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. * *Experience:* Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in leave administration, accommodations, or a similar HR role, preferably in a healthcare setting. * *Skills:* * Strong understanding of leave and accommodation laws and regulations. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. * Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with integrity. * Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills. * Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite. *Personal Attributes:* * Empathetic and patient-focused approach. * Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. * Ability to work independently and as part of a team. * High level of integrity and professionalism *Pay and Benefits* The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $36.00 Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
