Alliance Cancer Specialists, the largest community-based oncology practice in Southeastern PA, is seeking a full-time MID- Pharmacy Technician Supervisor. We are seeking a compassionate, hard-working individual who is dedicated to providing exceptional patient care. This position is located at our Bensalem Practice.

Under minimal supervision of a physician or pharmacist, oversee medically integrated dispensing operations of oral drugs to oncology patients. This includes overseeing technicians performing the technical aspects of oral medication dispensing, record keeping and inventory control as well as assisting with financial assistance and patient monitoring.


Responsibilities

Oversees the activities of medically integrated dispensing pharmacy technicians in the dispensing of oral drugs, including inventory management, reporting, financial assistance, and patient monitoring at one or multiple sites.

Supervises documentation and dissemination of drug information, MSDS sheets, and related materials.

Assists in the development and implementation of departmental goals and objectives in consultation with the supervisor.

Monitors and informs pharmacy staff of new drug regulations.

Assists in the implementation of drug control procedures for all sites of service.

Takes corrective action as necessary.

Participates in hiring, termination, and performance review of staff in consultation with pharmacy leadership.

Ensures proper training of all technicians.

Acts as an educational resource on for staff.

Assists in ensuring compliance with accreditation, quality assurance, legal and other regulatory requirements.

Collects data, prepares reports, answers correspondence, and compiles statistics for administrative, financial, and regulatory purposes.

Receives new drug education to remain abreast of new information and informs MID, admixture and clinical staff. Maintains confidentially of all information related to patients and medical and clinical staff.


Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

High School diploma or equivalent. Extensive experience in a retail pharmacy setting. Prior IV admixture training is a plus. Certified Pharmacy Technician certificate required. Management experience preferred.
