JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Social Media Manager will lead all facets of Urban Decay social media to boost brand awareness and engagement, including developing and executing creative content strategies, managing social media calendars, and building brand love within our online communities & irl activations. This role demands exceptional awareness of social media trends, a passion for crafting compelling content, and strong communication skills.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Produce, film, and edit short-form content for UD social platforms that balances creativity, trend, and business needs.
  • Utilize community insights to drive content creation and strategic partnerships.
  • Attend photoshoots and brand events as needed to capture, edit, and post social content.
  • Own social-first content shoots and productions, and partner closely with creative internal partners and agencies.
  • Own brand voice and copywriting needs as it pertains to social content.
  • Lead strategic community management across all social platforms (owned, earned, and paid)
  • Develop and manage social media content calendars across all platforms, encompassing trend content, always-on activity, new product launches, and brand campaigns.
  • Identify, engage, and manage relationships with a diverse range of influencers who embody the UD brand ethos and resonate with target audiences.
  • Collaborate closely with the DMI & US Influencer Marketing team to seamlessly integrate influencer activations into the social media strategy and content calendar.
  • Deliver regular (monthly, quarterly, campaign-specific) reports on key social media trends to internal teams and key stakeholders.
  • Stay ahead of the curve on social media trends, competitive activity, and emerging platforms. Share relevant insights and recommendations to inform content strategy.
  • Communicate social media plans, calendars, and performance results to key internal stakeholders, effectively managing feedback loops and cross-functional alignment

QUALIFICATION STANDARDS:

  • Education/ Experience/ Licenses or Certifications
  • Four-year degree preferred.
  • 4 years of social media experience
  • Proven track record of creating emotionally engaging and high-performing TikTok content (portfolio and TikTok handle required).
  • Graphic design experience a plus

Salary Range: 92k-120k base + bonus
