Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Guidewire Lead Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Guidewire PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, and ClaimCenter, as well as strong technical skills in GOSU and other relevant technologies. As a Guidewire Lead Developer, you will be responsible for leading the technical design, development, and implementation of complex Guidewire Cloud solutions providing close technical guidance to other frontline staff. You will work closely with business analysts, architects, and other team members to ensure the successful delivery of project and production support work.

* Lead the technical design of Guidewire Cloud solutions in PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, ClaimCenter, and Integration Gateway, ensuring adherence to best practices and standards.
* Through close collaboration with system architects, recommend architecture patterns and practices that will result in effective Guidewire solution delivery considering aspects of maintainability, reusability, scalability, performance and fault tolerance.
* Mentor and guide team members on technical aspects of Guidewire development, including GOSU coding, configuration, and debugging as well as integration techniques and best practices.
* Provide technical guidance and problem-solving expertise to the development team.
* Stay up-to-date with the latest Guidewire technologies and industry trends.
* Develop complex Guidewire configurations, including business rules, workflows, and integrations.
* Write clean, efficient, and well-documented GOSU code.
* Perform unit testing and debugging to ensure code quality and functionality.
* Collaborate with the testing team to identify and resolve defects.
* Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
* Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.
* Provide innovative solutions to challenges and roadblocks.
* Troubleshoot production issues, implement fixes, and guide team members through resolution of complex technical problems and issues.
* Define and execute integration test plans, including unit, integration, and system tests.
* Collaborate with quality assurance teams to ensure high-quality deliverables.
* Monitor system performance and identify opportunities for optimization.
* Contribute to project planning, estimation, and resource allocation.
* Track project progress and manage risks and dependencies.
* Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including business users, technical teams, and project managers.
* Produce (and guide other team members to produce) technical document artifacts required to support Project Management and SDLC process compliance.
* Demonstrate commitment to Company's Code of Business Conduct and Ethics, and apply knowledge of compliance policies and procedures, standards and laws applicable to job responsibilities in the performance of work.

Requirements:

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
* 5+ years of experience in Guidewire development, with a strong focus on PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, and ClaimCenter.
* 5+ years of P&C insurance experience in an IT application development role.
* In-depth knowledge of Guidewire configuration, including GOSU scripting, workflow, and data model.
* Strong understanding of Java and object-oriented programming principles.
* Experience with SQL and database concepts.
* Strong knowledge of RESTful APIs, SOAP, JSON, XML, and API security protocols (OAuth, JWT, etc.).
* Proficiency in programming languages such as C# .NET, Java, and Python.
* Associate Level Certification (or higher) in Guidewire Insurance Suite (required).
* Familiarity with Agile methodologies and DevOps practices and tools.
* Excellent communication, teamwork and interpersonal skills.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
* Effective verbal and written communication skills with a proven ability to communicate technical terms in business language and communicate across levels of the organization.
* Proficiency in use of Jira and Confluence in support of Agile software development
* Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
