POSITION SUMMARY:

As a key pillar of the Marketing department, the sponsorship team is responsible for coordination and execution of brand activations within contracted 3rd party events and programs, as well as the development of owned event programs to strengthen and drive the image of the Bass Pro Shops, Cabela's and White River Marine Group's brands. The Sponsorship Event Specialist will assist in the coordination of tournament activities and personnel leading the onsite execution of all owned and shared assets that fall in line with partnership, event and brand objectives. This individual will work closely with the larger marketing team to ensure the proper execution of key brand partnerships, social execution, and that strengthen and drive the image of the Bass Pro Shops brand and contribute to the mission of inspiring everyone to enjoy, love and conserve the great outdoors.

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum Degree Required: High School or Equivalent

Certificate(s) or License(s): NA

Experience:

  • Coordinate deliverables associated with Bass Pro Shops/WRMG brand partnerships/contracts ensuring quality onsite execution
  • Contributes to the annual marketing plan with thorough event plans and documentation, integrating opportunities with corporate partners, internal marketing teams to ensure growth
  • Coordinates the onsite execution of events in partnership with internal marketing teams to ensure all deliverables are met
  • Works with 3rd party production partners to ensure quality event execution as outlined
  • Manages owned event assets, building onsite plans, and developing recaps to showcase ROI
  • Works with local stores, GMs and dealerships to provide event support and logistics as needed per location.
  • Coordinates the development and production of marketing assets with cross functional partners such as video, creative, social media and others to ensure partner objectives are implemented successfully
  • Executes annual plans for all aspects of the selling process related to Bass Pro Shops proprietary properties (merchandise, marketing and media partners)
  • Assists in the responsibility for managing partnership revenues & budgets
  • ALL OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITY:

  • Organization

  • Knowledge of TV production/needs
  • Willingness to work outdoors and
  • Interest or passion for the outdoors, knowledgeable about aspects of the sports of angling and hunting/shooting

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: National Travel - Minimum of 15 events during the year as determined

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Regularly performs computer work and sits.

  • Occasionally walks and stands.

  • Seldom/never lifts up to 50lbs.

INDEPENDENT JUDGEMENT:

  • Performs duties within scope of general company policies, procedures, and objectives. Analyzes problems and performs needs assessments. Uses judgment in adapting broad guidelines to achieve desired result. Regular exercise of independent judgment within accepted practices. Makes recommendations that affect policies, procedures, and practices.
