What you will do

As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for selling Johnson Controls' Complex Security and Fire solutions to general contractors, electrical contractors, and consulting engineers. Your role will include promoting the unique value proposition of Johnson Controls within the construction community by offering tailored business and technical solutions. A deep understanding of Enterprise-related Security and Fire systems is essential, particularly in relation to the Edwards EST, Honeywell, or Simplex Fire solutions. Familiarity with Enterprise security solutions, including CCTV and Card Access Systems, is also required. You will build and nurture long-term relationships with assigned accounts or territories, ensuring customer satisfaction and loyalty in collaboration with operations partners. A significant focus will be on positioning renewable service agreements to establish strong account relationships.

How you will do it
You will confidently sell Johnson Controls offerings to all members of the construction community, including contractors, consultants, and designers, while striving for optimal profit levels. You will identify and pursue all opportunities that enable contractors to achieve their business objectives, managing multiple ongoing opportunities simultaneously. This includes selling, renewing, and expanding renewable service agreements, including multi-year contracts, to both new and existing customers within your assigned territory.
You will build strong partnerships with the construction community's decision-makers, actively listening and identifying their concerns. Understanding your customer's business cycle and demonstrating both technical and business expertise will be critical to maintaining credibility and fostering trust. You will seek out and engage with prospective customers in alignment with JCI's strategic goals while developing and maintaining a robust network of industry contacts. By applying your technical knowledge and business expertise, you will match solutions to customer operational needs, effectively positioning Johnson Controls as their preferred partner. You will address customer objectives and recommend solutions that deliver total value and competitive advantage, differentiating Johnson Controls services and products through innovative and resourceful sales strategies.
As an advocate for your customers within Johnson Controls, you will ensure they receive maximum value from our offerings, setting appropriate expectations and participating in final project inspections to ensure satisfaction. You will facilitate customer training and orientation on system operation to highlight the value of delivered services.

What we look for

Required

  • A bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

  • 1-3 years of experience selling enterprise-related fire and security solutions.

  • A commitment to integrity and quality in business practices.

  • Strong initiative and interpersonal communication skills.

  • A proven ability to influence key stakeholders and markets.

Salary Range: HIRING SALARY RANGE: $72,700-109,300(Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.) This role offers a competitive Sales Commission Plan that will take into account project, quarterly, and annual margin. This position includes a competitive benefits package.
