Job Summary

Support building and maintaining schedules for Georgia Tech Research Institute (GTRI) Tier 1 programs through the Program Management Support Office. Analyze the scope of multiple tasks in order to develop, monitor and convey a detailed, time-based plan for program execution. This includes establishing milestones and monitoring progress while managing interrelationships and dependencies necessary to execute the overall work effort. Responsible for setting employee goals, assessing employee performance and providing feedback, and making pay recommendations. This position will interact on a regular basis with: unit and department staff and management. This position typically will advise and counsel: unit and department staff and management. Responsibilities

Job Duty 1 -
Perform analysis of productivity for executed work against established schedules and report management measures for schedule performance. Modify schedules as necessary to efficiently plan and report activities as required.

Job Duty 9 -
Prepare project management reports to reflect accurate cost and schedule status and/or corrective actions as required.

Job Duty 10 -
Perform other duties as assigned

Job Duty 2 -
Maintain and update the master program schedule, including metrics such as Schedule Performance Index (SPI) and Cost Performance Index (CPI).

Job Duty 3 -
Interface directly with internal and external customers to communicate status of work and corrective actions that may be required to ensure conformance to established schedules.

Job Duty 4 -
Determine customer requirements and translate these requirements into organizational plans which include the development of Statements of Work (SOW), Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), Integrated Master Plans (IMP), Integrated Master Schedules (IMS), risk assessments, schedule metric generation and reporting, and all activities related to execution of the program plan.

Job Duty 5 -
Review project requirements and support the development of the integrated master schedule to establish priorities. Analyze project requirements and ensure that required resources are available or in process for availability so that established schedules may be reasonably maintained.

Job Duty 6 -
Develop and plan project baseline and detailed critical path/workflow schedules by utilizing critical path scheduling techniques.

Job Duty 7 -
Determine resource availability, subcontractor's capability, work breakdown, and associated resource objectives.

Job Duty 8 -
Review project schedule data to include records of activities, verifying open/close dates, work authorization numbers, cost/budgets, structures, and associated data as applicable to activities.

Required Qualifications

Educational Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Finance or Mathematics, or equivalent combination of education and experience

Other Required Qualifications
This director reports directly to the Division leader and serves as a member of the executive management/leadership of the division. The director has a dotted line working relationship to the Georgia Tech Institute Communications Director, Campus Communications & Events. The director has a dotted line working relationship with Division staff with communications and marketing responsibilities.

Required Experience
Three to four years of job related experience

Preferred Qualifications

Additional Preferred Qualifications
Project Management Institute Scheduling Professional (PMI-SP) certification Preferred skills include advanced knowledge of Microsoft Project
- PMP
- Masters Degree
- 4-7 years of scheduling experience
- Ability to obtain/maintain an active security clearance

Preferred Experience
Four to five years of job related experience

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

SKILLS
This job requires advanced knowledge of project management software, earned value management, critical path methodologies, and how Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA) schedule audits are conducted and passed. Must be familiar with applying risk assessment techniques to project schedules.

Salary range is dependent on candidates experiences and skills that ranges from $63,303 - $86,091.
Salary grade for this position is A6
