Position Purpose
To teach cheer specific skills, competitive strategy, and assist student leaders with program development.
Required Qualifications

  • 2-5 years as coach at high school or collegiate level
  • Sport specific experience as a player or coach

  • CPR/AED & First Aid certification
  • Able to attain USA Cheer Safety and Risk Management certification prior to start of the season

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred

Key Accountabilities


Key Accountabilities

  • Plan and implement team practices, conditioning workouts, and routines.
  • Coach competitions.
  • Supervise and coordinate with assistant coach(es).
  • Assist and advise student officers and leaders.
  • Follow policies of the club sport manual.
  • Foster athletic development amongst team members.
  • Assist in all administrative aspects of the club including, but not limited to: monitoring completion of club sport waivers and player eligibility; development of the annual budget; scheduling competitions and officials; communicate with club sport office regarding facility needs; management of home competition; travel arrangements; website updates; newsletter mailings; fundraising.
