Job Description

The Lead Counselor will serve as primary counselor and will aid in the supervision of staff members. They work closely and collaboratively to achieve the goals and objectives of the program. The Lead Counselor will assume program responsibilities in the absence of the Clinical Supervisor. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Maintains a caseload with all necessary documentation in compliance with all regulatory, accreditation, and credentialing organizations.Assists in the implementation of clinical services for IOP and OP treatment programs and auditing of counselor documentation.Supervises staff, including weekly supervision meetings and documentation of all supervision sessions. Weekly supervision of clinical staff addressing strengths and areas in need of improvement, all regulatory, accreditation, and credentialing clinical documentation. Oversees counselor compliance with charting in monthly reviews. Facilitates weekly clinical treatment team meeting to address clinical issues. Completes annual performance evaluations and training goals.Interacts with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the iSCORE values of Jefferson.EDUCATIONAL/TRAINING REQUIREMENTS:Masters Degree in social sciences required.CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, AND REGISTRATION:Prefer LCSW, LPC, or CACEXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:Two years experience in the field of human services with an emphasis on women-centered substance abuse treatment experience in working with managed care organizations and the authorization process preferred. Prior supervisory experience preferred.
