Job Details We are seeking a Postdoctoral Fellow to join our research program to investigatethe mechanisms underlying tumor heterogeneity and plasticity in melanoma with the goal of identifying noveltreatment strategies for melanoma patients. Our research aims to identify and target pathway dependencies and vulnerabilities in drug tolerant persister cells in order to prevent metastasis and improve treatment options for melanoma patients. Additional research interests include: i) characterizing alterations that occur in the Extra Cellular Matrix during the establishment of drug tolerance and ii) investigate therapies that mediate changeswithin the tumor immune microenvironment as an approach to improve response to immunotherapies.Understanding alterations in the tumor microenvironment could ultimately lead to the identification of novel therapeutic approaches for the treatment of melanoma. Our research ranges from fundamental molecular mechanisms to clinical applications utilizing molecular and cellular biology, 3D cell culture, flow cytometry, omics studies, and mouse models. For more information please check out:https://research.jefferson.edu/labs/researcher/capparelli-research.html Job Description PhD or equivalent PhD or equivalentWork Shift Workday Day (United States of America)Worker Sub Type RegularPrimary Location Address 951 Locust Street, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States of AmericaNationally ranked, Jefferson, which is principally located in the greater Philadelphia region, Lehigh Valley and Northeastern Pennsylvania and southern New Jersey, is reimagining health care and higher education to create unparalleled value.
