Job Details Job Description The JCP Assistant Dean for Assessment will be responsible for directing the JCP Comprehensive Assessment Process and leading programmatic communications with stakeholders. Has overall responsibility for measurement of student achievement and curriculum performance. Develops instruments that are valid and reliable measures of competency and will assist the Center in carrying out its charge for independent audit of student and curriculum performance. Essential Functions: Interacts with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the values of Jefferson. Collaborate with Associate Dean for Academic Affairs to collate and interpret student assessment data and ensure students with academic-risk are identified in a timely manner in order to optimize success and minimize academic attrition. Directs the JCP Comprehensive Assessment Process which is required to maintain accreditation of the College and ensure quality outcomes. Collaborate with other JCP Leaders to ensure that all faculty and staff effectively and appropriately use assessment tools to guide programmatic improvements and meet accreditation and University requirements. Responsible for managing documents and correspondence which are required for College accreditation including required annual surveys and data submission. Leads development and implementation of a communication plan for outreach to JCP stakeholders and ensure that publications and other documents are updated and accessible including the JCP webpage. Provide faculty and staff development programs pertinent to areas of responsibility. Education/Experience Required: Masteras degree or doctoral degree in higher education, PharmD or PhD in pharmacy related field 3 + years experience in higher education or academic assessment preferred Competencies (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities) Required: Represents the JCP Dean at the JCP Committee on Evaluation and Outcomes Serves as the JCP Liaison to the Office of Institutional Research and other appropriate enterprise offices and committees As a member of the JCP Leadership Team, partners in the operational, tactical and strategic planning of the College Participates in all JCP Leadership, Executive Council, and General Faculty meetings. Participates in interviews for prospective faculty, staff and students. Special projects as needed.
