Your Role

Mission:

The Business Development Manager (BDM) for Pump Aftermarket in North America will lead strategic growth by targeting market opportunities, optimizing service agreements, and driving pump-specific sales initiatives. This role will focus on key responsibilities, including:

  • Developing and executing a targeted sales strategy for aftersales offerings, with emphasis on bare shaft pumps and new pump technologies.
  • Collaborating closely with national accounts and regional sales teams to identify cross-selling and upselling opportunities within the installed base.
  • Establishing and strengthening partnerships with service centers and dealers, ensuring alignment with aftersales goals and customer service standards. Enhancing dealer sales through proactive training, support, and aftersales initiatives that promote pump-focused solutions.
  • Monitoring market trends to identify and pursue high-potential accounts, leveraging insights to create customized solutions that increase customer engagement and retention.

By focusing on these core areas, the BDM will contribute to the growth of the pumps aftersales market and enhance the value of our service offerings across North America.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Develop strong business relationships with National Rental Companies and dealers
  • Cooperate with national rental customer success managers to sign service agreements on the corporate level
  • Assist and manage regional sales force activities on pump aftermarket products to grow business
  • Evaluate market conditions and trends to develop competitive pricing
  • Develop and execute effective marketing activities on products towards dealers, national accounts, and end user channels
  • Create and nurture synergies across different departments
  • Prepare and follow up on professional presentations and documentation in teams
  • Coordinate and conduct training as needed by the sales force and customer accounts.
  • Create an effective and a clear elevator pitch on the aftermarket products for the sales force
  • Introduce features/benefits to the customer accounts and to the regional sales team
  • Monitor pricing and profit levels on the service products
  • Closely follow up sales opportunities with the regions
  • Create and manage service campaigns
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


To succeed, you will need

Experience:

  • Working knowledge of the Portable Pump Industry
  • Minimum of three years of practical related experience in Capital Equipment and/or Aftermarket Sales - preferably in rental or civil construction industries.

Education:

This position requires a bachelor's degree in engineering, sales, marketing or related; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Skills:

Must be able to operate in a senior-level business environment, including effectively communicating and developing long-term sustainable relationships with the management team of the assigned account(s).

Travel:

This position requires extensive travel (up to 50% of the time) throughout the U.S. and Canada as needed to coordinate activities.

Supervisory Responsibility:

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
