Responsibilities The Performance Excellence Director is responsible for providing vision, leadership and direction for multi-disciplinary workgroups, using proven Performance Excellence methodologies (Lean/Six Sigma DMAIC), to ensure that Norton Healthcare sets the standard for quality and caring for our patients, families, and community. Norton Healthcare defines Performance Excellence as the comprehensive approach to drive value to customers and stakeholders. This includes the continuous study of measuring the inputs and outputs of processes and then optimizing these processes to improve safety, advance quality, enhance efficiency, increase effectiveness, decrease costs and create an overall great human interaction for patients, staff and the community. This position serves as a facilitator between operational leaders, project teams, hospital leaders, physicians, and system leaders to promote standardization of structures, processes, materials, education and support throughout the organization. This is an important role in identifying, developing and mentoring leaders and other individuals in the system in the creation and nurturing of a performance excellence approach to daily work. This position is a key leader in Norton Healthcare's Performance Excellence Network and will continually seek to add value to the care provided to our patients through excellent outcomes, safety, and service at the lowest possible cost - driving the value equation (the value equation is delivering best possible care and outcomes at the lowest possible cost). As a key member of the Improvement Network, this role will collaborate and work closely with other key leadership in Business Intelligence & Financial Analytics, Strategy, Finance, Revenue, Nursing, and Operations.
