Description Acara Solutions is seeking a
Payroll Analyst to work with our client headquartered in Boston, MA. This position is 100% remote!
Job Type: 6-month contract
Location: Remote- EST/CST
Job Details
Payroll Support:
- Ensure accurate and timely processing of end-to-end payroll for assigned employees, process data for new hires, terminations, and leaves of absence, garnishments, time and absence entries, and off-cycle payrolls as needed.
- Performs year-end activities as needed.
- Primary contact for Tier 1 support of payroll inquiries.
Data Management
:
- Maintain and update employee payroll records, ensure all data is accurate and compliant with relevant laws and regulations.
- Ensure Workday is maintained as the primary source of data for all employees.
- Assists with Workday testing of periodic releases as required.
Reporting
:
- Assist with run and/or deliver payroll reports as needed.
ServiceNow:
- Ensure SNOW tickets are managed and responded to timely and accurately at first instance.
- Ensure SLAs are met when responding to employee inquiries.
Auditing and Compliance
:
- Stay informed about federal, state, provincial, and local payroll laws to ensure compliance and assist with internal and external payroll audits to ensure compliance with regulations.
Troubleshooting
:
- Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies and issues raised by employees or management.
- Review payroll processes for efficiency and identify areas for improvement.
System Maintenance
:
- Support payroll system updates and improvements, including testing new features and resolving technical issues.
- Assist with different stages of the testing cycle.
Record Keeping
:
- Ensure all payroll documentation and workflows are accurate, complete, and stored securely for compliance and audit purposes.
Miscellaneous Tasks
:
- Assists with miscellaneous tasks as required. These may include, but are limited to, mail distribution, email box monitoring, ServiceNow maintenance, SSN validations and inquiries, unemployment claims, internal and external audits, project support, etc. Job Requirements Required Skills / Qualifications:
